Whenever you have the choice between natural fiber clothing or synthetic, always choose natural fibers for your child’s clothing.
Wool and Cotton fibers breath better than synthetic, allowing your baby to stay dry when perspiring. Synthetic clothes, especially jumpsuits, can act like a virtual sauna, trapping in the babies body heat and potentially casing your child to overheat.
Natural fiber clothing, in most cases, is also softer and provides a greater level of comfort for your child.
It is not uncommon for some babies to react negatively to synthetic materials, often causing redness and in some cases a rash on their delicate skin.
In cooler climates or winter seasons, look for clothing with a mixture of cotton and wool, in warmer climates and seasons 100% cotton is best.
